installation question - upgrade

if i have created and installed a vb.net program on a computer and later make changes to said program, how do i go about upgrading to the newer version? do i have to uninstall and then reinstall the program?

Might be a worth while exercise to have a look into patching. I have never used it myself but there are a few programs available for it. Good luck, let us know the results if u decide to go ahead with it? cheers
