Does somebody know of an open source GUI for MSDE? I have just installed one, but i am not in hurry to buy .net studio. Any suggestions or reccomendations are appreciated.

Try searching www.codeproject.com and www.pscode.com - you may get lucky and find one on either of those sites. Other then that, www.google.com is always worth a shot.
