I know that you can use getfilesysteminformation to get the count of files and directorys in a folder. That count though, does not count the files and directories that are in the subdirectories underneith that top level folder. Is there a way to do this?
In other words, if I right click on a folder and look at its properties,
I see "Contains: 20 files, 1 folder" . For the folder whos properties I am examining, there is a dir and 18 files under it. In that one dir, there are 2 more files. That TOTAL count, (1 dir, and 20 files), is what I want to get in my VB program, without having to loop through seach sub directory.
Without doing the looping through all the subdirectories, I get a count tof 1 directory, and 18 files.
