Does anyone know if it is possible to have two TV tuners, each with a
separate type of signal?

In other words, could I have one tuner on analog cable and the other on
digital cable?

Will Media Center tolerate this, or does it need them to be the same?

mediacenter don't tolerate this, it will work only with one type of signal.
you can have 2 tuners but both analog or both DVB.

you can use the other signal with a different software...

RE: Dual TV Tuners/Different Signals

yes of course, it's no different than a tv and a vcr (all a vcr is a tuner
with no screen) my tv suppts PIP (pic in pic) and i use my tuner card to scan
the other channels while the tv maintains the program, hell with enough
splitters you could run as many tv cards as your system would allow (irq, mem,
lack of conflicts.)you only need one input source
