When I try to install the components included in the Visual Basic.NET Resource Kit, it says that I need Internet Information Server 4.0 or higher. Can I get this program for free? If so, where? I found out that it comes with Windows XP Pro, but I have XP Home.

It only runs on XP Pro(or 2000 or NT), I believe. To get it, install XP Pro, go into Add/Remove Windows Components and tick "Internet Information Services"

IIS 4 comes with Windows 2000. If you dont have 2K or higher, you cant use the .NET IDE anyway, so it really doesnt matter. However, if you have Windows 2K+, IIS is on the CD.

XP Home does not come with IIS. I havent checked if it will work, but MS used to have a "Personal Web Server" that acted like a mini-webserver. You might look into that.
