The sheer lack of questions on this topic make it very unlikely that a forum will be created devoted to it.
I did search this forum for any articles related to "mobile", and I found that there is a question ask which forum should post for mobile, but he did not get response from others.
Because currently I am development a mobile application, so I am looking for a forum which can discuss and share ideas about it....

Definitely we need some time to attract mobile developer here. But I just curious since this is ".NET Forum", why no forum for mobile application?
I thought if I use Microsoft .NET, then this website should included all the aspect of it.

Maybe you could post a sample question, one you think would go in the Mobile forum if we had one? Id guess that 90% of the questions youd have wouldnt be Mobile-specific.
Plus, if youre interested in seeing replies to your own posts, you can always subscribe to the thread so you dont have to filter through all the posts in General.

Thank you Nerseus! anyway I did post my questions but no reply. I am new in mobile application, so I have a lot of questions regarding mobile application, like something related with SQL CE, infrared transfer handling... these questions are all mobile related...

There is no reply because there are hardly any mobile developers yet, and hence no dedicated forum to the topic

bungpeng, Id also check out the Microsoft forums (msnews.microsoft.com in your favorite news reader, even OutLook Express). As divil is saying, there really arent that many mobile developers - finding help here, or on most public forums is going to be difficult. As far as Mobile-specific questions, Id be surprised if anyone would be able to offer much help. Im not discouraging your from asking, just trying to set your expectations to a reasonable level
Now, if youre programming a mobile ASP.NET page and you need help with binding, for instance, then youre more likely to get a response since it *might* be the same code-based solution whether its mobile or not. Just be sure and mention in your question that youre on the mobile platform in case there are any differences.

I agree with you Nerseus. The reason I suggest have a forum for mobile application is not only solve my personal problem. I know there are not much mobile developers out there, so this kind of forum can gather all these developers, and easy to shared ideas.
I dont think forum is just a place to ask questions if we faced any difficulty. But to share ideas, to discuss, think about other peoples problems, definitely it will also improve our skill
It is ok if cant have a forum for it. I did found one in devbuzz.com, even there are not much people, but at least it is a start.

Before this site came into existence, we had a mobile forum (PalmOS and Embedded VB) over at the other site. It existed for about 2 years and in all that time accumulated 9 threads, only 3 of which were actually related to that kind of programming.
Of course that was then and this is now, but until we start to see a significant number of Compact Framework questions, we are unlikely to create a forum for it. The same rules are applied to all new forum suggestions/requests - the interest needs to be there before the forum is created.
