basic text file reading/ writing

ok, im new to this c# stuff, and i need to be able to write a list of path names to a text file, or read in a list from a text file and load them into an array list as i go along. it sounds very straight forward but i cant for the life of me figure it out.is there anyone there that can give me the basics of it?

You need to use one of the file reading or writing class, System.IO.StreamReader and System.IO.StreamWriter.
