A beginner trying to use scripting to automate network

Hi! im Yiz. Im a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Recently i just started a job, and the boss wants me to learn scripting. which i almost know nothing about. Ive been reading for about the past 2 weeks and have a general understanding. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who is familiar with network automation with vbs and js scripting. If so i would gladly except all advice.
