Insert rows to Excel Spreadsheet

I am trying to figure out how to create an Excel spreadsheet and then insert rows of data into it. I am not sure how exactly I can iterate through rows in Excel to enter data into them. I know how long the rows will be, as well as how many rows I will be entering, but those numbers will be different each time the application is ran. If someone could provide me with some insight on this problem I would be very appreciative.
