Extreme Visual Basic comparison

Thinks are a little different here than in the Extreme Visual Basic forum (and Im not talking about .Net content vs VB6 content)

Its like the "look" of this forum is some bizzaro version of DNH lol

A few things:

Is this forum running v3 of the vBulletin software?

How come the Avatar pics dont show up in the members listings pages(you have to individual go into each members profile page to see their avatar)?

How come, on the Post New Thread compose screen there arent icons (pretty nice icons like in DNH) for formating, inserting code, PHP, etc?

How come the "Lite" coloring theme shows smileys as green? (Extraterrestrial emoticons?)

How come in the J# forum it says it has 3 threads and 6 posts but I dont see anything when i go in except for Thinkers "Posting Guidelines" sticky

I read in "Broken things" post that:
"Inet Interactive has been dragging their feet in regards to fixing the site up, but hopefully something will take place soon. The wheels are in motion as we speak."

What wheels? What is being planned ? What will be fixed up?

Is there plans to redo the look of this forum to more closely match the look of DNH? (hopefully). Maybe (at least) a skin that looks like DNH?

I cant answer most of your questions, (I dont think there are answers to most of them), but this one is simple. Try changing the dropbox "Show threads from:" to "the beginning" to show ALL threads in this forum...

1. This forum is using vB2... last year, DNH was using this software too and looked like this.
2 and 4 are all features in vB3 that arent here yet...
3. - There are some buttons there that let you do formatting... theyre not pretty pictures though.
and I dont know all of the inside details, but the forum will be upgraded sometime after vB3 is released (so it will look like DNH, although it shouldnt have to)

No, it is running vB2 for now. It will be upgraded to vB3 in the future.

Thats not in vB2.

You have to specify how old you want the threads listed on the index to be (at the bottom of the index).

Right now the people at iNET are planning to fix up the site. I cant give any specifics (mainly because I havent got much info about it at all), but I do know that iNET is working on it now. As far as I know, the two forums (EDNF, DNH) will look similar.

Its Edwin the Mage from Baldurs Gate, although I chose it because it does sort of look like my (minus the robes of course).

Thanx for all those who posted on this thread. I like the new (default?) skin --kind of cool grey, but with yellow icons. Looking a lot slicker. And Banjos avatar is the same one he uses over at DNH. hes actually changed it a little (I read in one of the old threads the eyes were a little different) I like his avatar, but I also like BillSoos (on DNH - its a big peanut with a cowboy hat and googly eyes).

Anyway, just wanted to note the improved look...

Firstly, my avatar is the same in both places. The eyes thing is lebbs speciality. She added glowing red eyes. I also have a Christmas "fairy light" version which glows red and green in sequence. Again blame lebb for that one.

Bills avatar is Bill wearing a KFC bag!
