How would I go about checking if an application like Microsoft Word is present on the computer. I know I could just have to search to a specifc directory, But if they have different versions, then it will be put in a different folder. If anyone knows the code please post.

It is in the windows registry somewhere... searching HD might be a bit heavy process dont you think (?)...I....think....

I dont know the code. But you can look to see what program is associated with .doc files, and hey presto.
