Capturing Video from a camera(webcam)

I would like to ask if anyone knows the details of how to capture video from a source such as a webcam.

i know i heard of people say you can use DirectShow, but i have no idea what that is and how to use it and all. Im kinda new to using C#.net.

I would appreciate it if anyone can provide some information to my needs
