Security Center is unabled

When I open the windows Security Center it says it is not enabled. I have
gone through th process to resart it but I doesn't restart. Restarting my
computer does not help either. How do I know if the windows firewall is
operating?

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with

Is there a security suite installed that has taken over for Windows
Security Center's ?
Which antivirus/security suite is installed and when was the system last
scanned for malware, Woody ?

Maybe the "Security Center" is corrupted. Save the text between the lines
(without that lines) in a text file with the name you want but with the
extension reg. Run that file and restart Windows. After booting up, try to
start the service again:
