Are there any present APIs which would achieve such an effect?

Hi guys i was wondering is there any APIs in windows which achieves a unique Windows Shrinking effect... like basically if anyone has tried Sphere XP, when you lose focus of a window, it shrinks to the background, but it shrinks very unique with a animation sort of effect.
