Gif to Icon

I know this is probably a stretch for the board but how do you convert an gif to Icon. I have a gif that I want to use for the app icon and the form icons but I need a little help.

cant you just open it using the Image class, and save it with the ImageFormat.Icon enumeration applied?

Bitmaps have .GetHIcon methods that return handles to icons.
The Icon class can create an Icon object .FromHandle.
