Direct X 9.0b problems with sony

Ok I have Direct X 9b installed and go to the StarWars Galaxies Jump to lightspeed BETA page. there it asks to scan your system requirements.. it keeps comming up with YOU NEED TO INSTALL DIRECT 9.0B

Also using Nero SmartStart, when trying to make a VCD it tells me I dont have 9.0b either

Did you restart your comp after installing?
