Does anyone know which is the lately version of SQL Server? All the resources i find seem to point to 2000, but that seems to old.... I thought there should of been a 2002 release.

Does anyone know when the next SQL Server will be release?

I know the basics but was thinking about buying a book to learn the more advanced stuff, didnt want to learn 1 version then the next come out a month later.

I suppose 2005 will be released the same sort of time as LongHorn then, so later half of 2005 (6/7) i would expect. :D
 
SQL 2005 (Yukon) will be released at the same time as Visual Studio 2005 (Whidbey), Longhorn is currently scheduled for a 2006 release (but is still in Alpha release so I wouldnt hold my breath) and to coincide a new release of VS (Orcas) which will take advantage of the newer platform features (Avalon, Indigo etc)
