Am I the only one that gets frustrated with putting .NET in a search engine only to have the . stripped out and everyr efererence to net returned???

samething for c# -> c

no reply necesssary. . . just venting

I google.

.net pulls up Net and anything with a .net in it, which kinda sucks. Typing in .Net results in about half the first page hits are for .Net (programming or framework), the rest are web servers or other .net applications having nothing to do with MS .Net technology.

C# - on the first page at least - is 100% C#, like 95% programming and the other 5% talking about C# books or project mono. Normally you have to compete with C# in music related sites, but there arnt any to be seen right now.

are you using google or something else?

Actually I was refering to amazon and borders books search engines.

But as far as google goes. . . I had my IE search engine set to google and that strips C# -> C. if I google directly, the results are better. but ".net" is still lacking.

Well I know Amazon isnt that great. Ive looked for something very specifically and gotten things not even relating and I was scratching my head as to why they popped up other than they paid Amazon money to do so.
