Using Excel COM, changing excel version

In my asp.net application I am using excel by COM, I have in bin/ what I believe that are called proxy classes (Interop.Office.dll...) I use Office 2003
I have taken to the Web application to a PC with excel 97 and does not run, as would be the solution to open it with VS.net and to return to create the Com connection and to compile?
In another pc with Excel 2003 it will run without compiling?
Anyone know?
