.NET 2005 GDI+ Hardware acelerated...

Does anyboy knows if GDI+ will be hardware acelerated in the next .NET Visual studio version?

I dont know about GDI+ being hardware accelerated in .NET 2.0, but Longhorn will move away from the GDI interfaces in favor or new standard ones that are hardware accelerated. You will probably have to wait for Longhorn, but I could be very wrong.

well, all I know is that .NET 2005s GDI+ is a lot faster. I mean one obvious thing is when you turn on double buffering:
Me.SetStyle(ControlStyles.OPTIMIZEDDoubleBuffering,True)

Optimized .

.NET will be native to Longhorn, so expect (major) improvements in speed.

ThePentiumGuy, I dont think you can judge by the name of the style since by description it seems to do the same thing as current DoubleBuffer style , but it sure is apt to be faster.

Whoops. I shoudlnt have said a "LOT" faster. I meant it might be faster and more efficient than the current one.
