VS.NET 2005 beta

So I took Visual Studio 2005 beta 2 that arrived in our latest MSDN build and did a installation on one of our test laptops.

It seems to work fine, until I shut the laptop down. When I restart it the network card is dead. Its happened to two laptops. At first we thought it was hardware failure, but sent the first laptop back to IBM, and they popped in a new harddrive with a fresh installation of windows and it worked fine again.

Something in the installation of Vs.net beta 2 kills my network card...

Has anybody seen or heard about this before?

vs 2005 beta

Have the same problem with IBM T42. One recommended solution, uninstalling Emulator for Devices did not fix the problem for me:

Furthermore, uninstalling the whole vs 2005 package doesnt fix it. And system restore is unable to restore the system, even to breakpoints before the vs beta install.

Any other ideas?

Thats interesting. Im using a T42 too. It really screwed my system up, it wouldnt even boot up after a while. I got the same advice as you though...
