i need help about database
sql server is one of best DB also after oracle DB but sql server need to install in client pc.
i need a good DB for single app (i need db better than access) that dont need to install in client pc and work in sql
what s your offer?
 
I would try MS Access if I were you. Theres also MSDE, but thats a bit more complex than I think you want right now.

What is it about SQL-Server that makes you choose that in front of MS Access?

Speed?
Stored Procedures?
User Roles?

My question is. Why do you need SQL-Server?
 
i think that sql server is better than ms access in speed and stored procedures.
i need db that dont need instalation in client pc and work like as sql
 
If you are running in a networked environment then SQL only needs to be installed on a server - not on each client PC.
At the end of the day it has to be a trade of - if you need the extra features and power offered by a DB like SQL or Oracle then you have to accommodate the extra requirements and overheads.
If you are after an easy deployment scenario then MS Access is a lot easier.

What features do you specifically require that rule out Access?
 
MSDE is nice and fast, but is a real pain in the backside to deploy with applications. Access is easier, and will do everything that SQL can, once youve connected. The only thing I dont like about using access is that inital one second connection time...

Youll have to trade these off. Im interested to hear what features you need to use that are not in Access too.
