Hello everybody,

I recently setup a windows 2003 R2 server with terminal services enabled.
When i connect to the server with RDP, 2 mouse pointers are displayed :
the first seems to follow the real mouse move and the second reflect the
remote pointer position.
The local console works perfectly.

Does anyone has a idea to suppress one of the pointers ?

Thanks

What is your OS and Service Pack level? Which TS client (5.0, 5.1 or 6.0)
are you using? Do you have any application installed that can effect mouse
pointer? For example, KVM over IP switches, etc. Are you using Virtual
Server/Client? Are you running the TS session in full screen or smaller
mode?

I have remember seeing this issue being reported before. The only update for
mouse pointer in TS that I can think of is
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830209 for the 5.1 or later client. Give it
a try.

The Server OS is W2K3 with service pack 2, TS clients are 5.0 and later,
I don't have any software that could affcet the mouse pointer I think.

I don't use either Virtual Server or Client and the symptoms are
equivalent if I run the client in full screen or not.

I already tried the update you recommended but this doesn't work well
and did not cover my problem.

I searched during the past days in the registry about a value that can
affect the pointer display, but found nothing.

Thank you for your answer.
