Has this Forum Completely Died?

When i first joined this forum its seemed full of people, now it seems like hardly anyone uses it.

Is this just me or had the forum been in massive decline?

I dont think its dead, but its definatly less popular.

Schools out for summer, so thats part of it.

There are maybe 5-10 full timers here and maybe twice as many part timers (like me) that are here and then gone for a bit.

I think the ExtremeVB Forums took up a lot of the people.

It seems that we have too many people answering questions and not enough asking. I answer enough questions here, but I dont ask very many, and without a balance of askers and answerers things are sure to get quiet.

Well, Im the type that will post a question when Im stuck or when I am researching something and seek input from a variety of perspectives. Once I get the answers then I am usually set for awhile as I have gotten over my sticking point and and work right along after that.

At the moment Im not really in a stuck point so Im just plowing right along with my projects.

With summer being here I am also spending some time away from the computer.

There has been a similar type of conversation on the GotDotNet forums, folks have noticed a decline in the posts there as well. Some have felt it was due to the MSDN forums opening up and taking traffic away.
