As recently reported by other users, I have the same problem on installing
this Security Update, which is considered as important, into my home PC
equipped with Windows Vista Home Basic (32 bits) through Windows Update
automatically. My PC had been restarted in the process of updating but was
shut down again. As a result, the Security Update could not be installed
successfully.

On the other hand, I tried to download this security update "Windows 6.0 -
KB935807 - x86.msu" from the article KB935807 and had successfully installed
as revealed by Windows Update. However, the automatic update alert of
"Security Update for Windows Vista" (KB935807) cannot be replaced, unless I
have made it "hidden".

I look forward to having any expert advice on this update issue.

Re: Security Update for Windows Vista (KB935807)

OH! I am glad I am not the only one - I have tried for 2 DAYS to get this
one to install - despite following all the instructions listed in the so
called self help. I am now on day 3 and still NO JOY - COME ON MICROSOFT -
sort out this problem - Vista was doing really well up to this point -
