How to do an online transaction?

Im working on a website that allows the user to purchase tickets online.
What am i supposed to user in order to achieve this?

Online electronic payment providers

You will need to find a company that can process electronic payments, and use their API. PayPal is one obvious example, but there are many out there. Each company will most likely offer their own proprietary API, usually based around a webservice.
