Control sound input?

Hi all, Im trying to programmatically change the Recording Control, you can see it in the Control Panels sound options for recording. Im sure there is some way to do it but Im at a loss. I want to change "What U Hear" to Microphone and back is all. The closest I have got is the "NtDeviceIoControlFile" when monitoring the process while I changed it. Im sure since searching everywhere, and finding absolutely nothing, that none has attempted this but I figured to post it, any code or ideas would be great! TYVM!
