Benchmark of .Net Serialization and Deserialization

Hi All,

I am wondering if there are any discussion about the benchmark of .Net serialization and deserialization? In my web server, the combined time of serialization and deserialization of a 8K xml is half a second. I am wondering what I can do to improve the performance?
