FTP in Windows 2003R2 rejects user

I have posted a question about publishing websites using VS2005 and it is yet
to be responded to, so I decided to try and setup the FTP option. The problem
with FTP is that it sets up without issues but will reject the user due to
bad username or password.
When the user tries to cinnect using FTP, IIS shows that the user is
connected yet the user gets rejected. I have even tried allowing the
anonymous user and the same thing happens.
The windows firewall is not running and the hardware firewall allows FTP
connections to other servers when I change the mapping. Anyone?

In abscence of answers, perhaps we don't recognize the question as being
64bit specific - I don't know what happened, but I do not think it is
possible to just move complete sites over onto a 64bit system, since the
structure of the filesystems are different in order to have 32bit and 64bit
processes execute properly. You can move the data, but I bet you will have
to re-install something from scratch.

If you have the time, be patient, someone may turn up here - if not
double-check somewhere like here:

microsoft.public.inetserver.iis

Thankx Tony, I will check that newsgroup now. I have managed to get all the
sites moved over, just cant attach with VS2005 or FTP. Perhaps asking the
question in the right Newsgroup would have been a better idea <smile>

I think I can safely say, that anything that EXECUTED (and I am talking
about EXE or DLL's!) correctly from the 'Program Files' directory on the
former installation will have to be put in the 'Program Files x86' directory
if moved over onto a 64bit system - and that is no guarantee that it will
work for you, just something for you to look for.
