Installed IE9 beta, now Powerpoint 2007 won't work

I recently installed IE9 and now when I open Powerpoint, it opens fine, I can access menus, select things, delete things etc, but if I try to add text, Powerpoint IMMEDIATELY closes down. I tried to repair MS Office, and uninstalled IE9, but no difference
has been noted. There are no problems with the other MS Office components as far as I can tell. My computer information: Windows 7 x64 professional running on a bootcamp partition of a 1.5 year old macbook pro. I really dont know much about what goes on beyond my
computers interface so ANY help would be appreciated!
