Hello,
I have a VB2005 application that sends and recieves data with another application (3rd party, not vb 2005) via COM port. When I run the apps on different computers they work great, they send all data to eachother and everything is fine. When I run them both on the same computer with either virtual null modem ports or with 2 hardware ports connected together via null modem cable they stop communicating. They will do their initial communication but then not respond to any commands. When I run a serial port monitor all of the data appears to be going through like its supposed to but the apps do not respond to it. Normally I would think there is a problem with one of the apps but when they are on seperate machines they run flawless. The system they are running on is win 2000 and the vb 2005 app is being written on an xp sp2 comp if that makes a diff. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
