Hi,

I have some terminal server licenses version 2003.
Do they work with Windows Server 2008 RC?
Do they work with some restrictions?
Which are the restrictions?

Thanks for your hint.

Regards
Patrick

Re: TS licenses

Hi Patrick,

A Windows Server 2008 server with the TS Licensing Role
Service installed can handle TS CALs for 2008, 2003, and
2000 terminal servers. This means that it can serve as the
TS Licensing server/issue licenses for clients of the above
three terminal server versions.

A 2003 TS CAL does *not* give a user or device the ability
to connect to a 2008 TS. To connect to a 2008 TS (after the
grace period expires) you need to obtain 2008 TS CALs.
TS CALs for beta and release candidates are free. Please
apply for them here:

Thanks.
