Where is the Map Root checkbox for Terminal Server Home Directory?

In NT 4.0 Terminal Server, you had the ability to check the box: Map Root
in the Terminal Server Home Directory portion of User Manager.

But it seems that in Windows 2000/2003 this option is removed?

I know that the attribute is still there, because our previous users still
work properly, but newly created ones do not.

What attribute in AD corresponds to the "map root" checkbox?

That's because it should automatically map root when going from a Win2k
and above box to a Win2k and above file server.

Thanks, but what if you're mapping to a Novell NetWare or Unix server?

As I understand it, NET USE mappings only go to \\server\share so basically
all mappings in an MS environment are "map rooted".

Unless you are using DFS in which case you have to use a slightly different
approach.

In the later versions net use will map deeper. I'm not sure how it
works on Novell or Unix. My guess is it would depend on how your
accessing those particular servers.
