Can I use GPG with Windows Mail?

My friend and I are getting into GPG, but so far I'm having to encrypt
everything manually. Does Windows Mail support GPG/PGP? It'd be cool
if there was some sort of automation.

RE: Can I use GPG with Windows Mail?

It would be completely the other way around: whether GPG supported Windows
Mail or not. There is no plug-in for Windows Mail (yet) AFAIK. However, there
are a couple of options. You can try GPGOE, which is for Outlook Express that
Windows Mail replaced. I'm not sure if that will work or not. The other
option is to try GPGrelay, which intercepts the message from any MUA and
encrypts it. All the plug-ins are listed at
http://www.gnupg.org/(en)/related_software/frontends.html#win.

If this is just for you and your friend you may want to try S/MIME instead.
It performs the same function as GPG but is supported natively inside Windows
Mail with no extra software. You can get a free mail certificate from
www.thawte.com.

Your question may already be answered in Windows Vista Security:

Awesome! Just signed up for a certificate, exported it in Firefox,
and imported it into Windows Mail. Very cool.
