This isnt exactly a coding question, but hopefully this is the right place to ask it.

I am in a 5 man I.T. team in which I am the primary coder. I write C#, some others write scripts and web pages, and some others do documentation in Word and Excel. I am looking for a free version control system that I can install on one of our Windows servers, and that my team and I can access through a client GUI.

I am looking for something very plain - I just want us to be able to safely check in and out different versions, and hopefully have a way to get the latest copy of all documents through the GUI, so that everyone can easily get the most up-to-date code and documentation at any time.

I was looking at CVS, Git and Subversion, but none of the systems specifically mentioned if they have the features Im looking for. Can anyone who uses some of this software please let me know what you think I should go with?
