I'm trying to help a friend fix his system.

He has W2k Pro, and had to replace his primary
HD, which worked OK, but he's now stuck in a
non-administrator account with no option at
startup to select any other account.

I'm SURE I used to know how to reset that
option (he needs the access to do backups),
but I CAN'T remember how to do it now.

Anyone, please??

You have two options:
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to log off, then log on as the other user.
- Press a Shift key during the boot phase in order to cancel the
auto-logon process.

Note that auto-logon settings are mostly set in the Control
Panel, users and passwords.
