Detect file changes since last refresh?

Hi everyone. I dont know if there is a best forum for this. Its a pretty general question. Hopefully you guys can give me some ideas. I am just starting to think i want this app to work. I pretty much want the ability every couple of hours to detect any changes that have been made to a directory structure and then copy those changes off to a network share. I found something that might work "Microsoft Sync Framework" but its only at CTP which leaves it not as an option for me. I really dont want immediate notification / Copy either because it would slow things down to much. Is there anyway to scan through a directory structure relatively quickly and detect the file changes that have happened since a specific time? I really dont want to have to do a bit by bit file compare since the directory will be relatively large in size. Any help would be appreciated?
