XPATH, DOMdocument60 & VBA

I cannot get any XPATHs to work using VBA and DOMdocument60 within Word 2003. I can load a xml file (essentially text), count nodes, see their names & data in Immediate Window, Debug print works, but I cannot get SelectSingleNode & XPATH expressions to work at all, nor SelectNodes with XPATH.<br/><br/>The doc itself contains 4 namespaces, only one is used. Whether I add it in also with my VBA or not makes no difference. I am doing most of my experiments in the Immediate Window so they go quickly. When I do add it, I am using SetProperties. But strangely, the count of namespaces does not change. Probably because it is identical to one in the document.<br/><br/>What to do, I have no idea.
