I need to obtain a VC++ redistributable for VS 2008 SP1. I went to the web page at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=A5C84275-3B97-4AB7-A40D-3802B2AF5FC2&displaylang=en. I downloaded the redistributable.
I also searched on my machine for VC++ redistributables. There was one at C
rogram Files (x86)Microsoft SDKsWindowsv6.0ABootstrapperPackagesvcredist_x86. When I looked at the details for both the one in the Sdk had product version 9.0.30729.4148
while the one I downloaded had product version 9.0.30729.17. So it actually looks like the 6.0a SDK version is the latest. Can this be, and is is the redistributable I should use for VS2008 SP1 ?
