Visual Studio keyboard problem

Over the last while, Visual Studio stops recognizing the standard keyboard mapping. This means things like the backslash key stop producing a backslash and produce a foreign language character. The greater than and less than signs also change to unusable characters.

Does anone have any thoughts on the solution. I can restore proper keyboard mapping by exiting Visual Studio and restarting, but thats a real pain.

The problem appears in both C++ and HTML coding.

Help would be much appreciated.
