Hi,

We have a duel 2.8GHz Xeon w/ 4GB RAM running win2k3 sp2 and terminal
services that staff connect to via RDP. We are seeing that after a few days
all of a sudden a limit of 30 users starts. If there are 30 users on anyone
who attempts to log on receives a profile cannot load error and the session
closes. If we jump onto terminal services manager and logoff users so there
is under 30, then people can log on again. Only happens after a few days of
running and before it happens we can have anything up to 50 concurrent users
working fine. Really confusing us. Has anyone seen this? The server is
updated with latest patches and we saw this issue both before and after
installing sp2.

thanks.

Re: terminal server sessions limited to 30

Your server is running out of some resource, probably memory related.
Check the EventLog on the server, there should be a warning there
which gives you more information.

Re: terminal server sessions limited to 30

Just an additional thought. On the server, under system properties, advance
tab, look at the user profiles. If there are any "unknown" profiles, delete
them.
Hope this helps
