I struggled with this for 2 weeks. Thank you for your post. The Article ID
302361 on TechNet was exactly the fix I needed.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your results.

Another good solution is to load a newer version of the
Remote Desktop Client on the workstation. That way
you will not need to make the registry change for each
user.

A good client version to use is the one that comes with
2003 server. The install file is located the server's hard
drive here:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\clients\tsclient\win32\msrdpcli.msi
