How to create an application in VB.NET which will interact with SQL Server 2008?

Im doing a project in VB.NET, in which the application will interact with SQL Server 2008 database. I know how to develop that application. But after created executable version of that application(.exe) i will install it in another machine. How will that
application interact with database at that machine??
