Hi !

When I try to unmute the sound on our Terminal server (2003SP2) and I
click on apply it goes back to being muted. What could be the cause ?

Thanks,

Antonio

Hi,

Make sure that audio redirection is enabled on the server
side and client side. Audio mapping is disabled by default
on a 2003 TS server.

On the Server--Open up Terminal Services Configuration,
double-click RDP-Tcp, Client Settings tab, *uncheck*
Audio Mapping. If it is disabled then you must modify the
server's GPO.

On the Client--Open up Remote Desktop Connection,
click the Options button, Local Resources tab, choose
"Bring to this computer" for the Remote computer sound
setting.

Re: Sound always muted

Hi,

If you connect to the TS from a different PC are you able to
get sound to work? When testing from the other PC, use a
*different* user name for the local PC logon before you
open up the Remote Desktop Client.

Thank you.
