In this session, Silverlight MVP Gill Cleeren will take you on a tour of the new features in the platform, including improved data binding, 3D support, better network support, new text features and of course added features to the tooling. <span><span>Gill Cleeren is Microsoft Regional Director (<span lang="NL-BE http://www.theregion.com/" target="_blank <span lang="EN-US www.theregion.com <span>), Silverlight MVP (former ASP.NET MVP) and Telerik MVP. He lives in Belgium where he works as .NET architect at Ordina (<span lang="NL-BE http://www.ordina.be/" target="_blank <span lang="EN-US http://www.ordina.be/ <span>). Passionate about .NET, hes always playing with the newest bits. In his role as Regional Director, Gill has given many sessions, webcasts and trainings on new as well as existing technologies, such as Silverlight, ASP.NET and WPF at conferences including TechEd Berlin 2010, TechDays Belgium – Switzerland - Sweden, DevDays NL, NDC Oslo Norway, SQL Server Saturday Switserland, Spring Conference UK, Silverlight Roadshow in Sweden, Telerik RoadShow UK... Hes also the author of many articles in various developer magazines and for SilverlightShow.net and he organizes the yearly Community Day event in Belgium. He also leads Visug (<span lang="NL-BE http://www.visug.be/" target="_blank <span lang="EN-US www.visug.be <span>), the largest .NET user group in Belgium. Gill recently published his first book: "<span lang="NL-BE https://www.packtpub.com/microsoft-silverlight-4-data-and-services-cookbook/book" target="_blank <span lang="EN-US Silverlight 4 Data and Services Cookbook <span>" (Packt Publishing) and is currently working on a new book on Silverlight 5.
