Dataset Transformation with XSLT -- Feasibility Analysis

When applying a transformation of dataset to HTML using XSLT, is there a way we can impose that two records can form first row of Html Table and if there are more records they should start forming subsequent tables.

Can some one help out with a sample XSLT for the same?
