¿Virus en Windows Millenium Edition?

¡Hola a todos!, Mi problema es el siguiente:
En Windows Millenium Edition (En español), cada vez que muevo el mouse empieza a actuar de una forma muy extraña, primero, se mueve rápido o empieza a saltar, si puede hasta abre algunos programas de los que estan en el escritorio y al mismo tiempo muestra varios menús contextuales, y mientras se deshabilita el mouse (tambien hasta el teclado) detiene por unos segundos el sistema, algunas veces hasta lo reinicia, cada vez que muestra el logo de Compaq, en la parte superior izquierda muestra el siguiente mensaje:"error 304 - Keyboard or System Unit error" (lo incluyo por si se trata de alguna actividad vírica) (a pesar de que tengo un antivirus instalado no lo detecta, todo esto ocurre únicamente cuando muevo el mouse), quisiera saber de qué virus se trata, y/o qué herramienta descargar para eliminarlo.

PD: He puesto un mouse nuevo y sigue haciendo lo mismo.

Bienvenido ... Alias puede dormido a esta hora, sino que será capaz de
ayudarle en la mañana. (Hora española)

Algunos de los otros se encuentran en England, para que puedan plasmar a
través de Google si así lo desean.

Firstly, you are in an English speaking newsgroup. However, you say that
you've tried a new mouse and installed an antivirus program and that it
doesn't detect any virus. What you haven't said is what sort of mouse you
are using or tried.

If it is a wireless mouse (and keyboard?), confirm that the batteries are
good. If it is an optical mouse, try a different surface. Better still, try
a cheap, standard ps/2 mouse.

Also, you haven't said what AV program you are using. Try AVG or Avast (Use
Google)

Hopefully, there is a English to Spanish translation below.

Hi Heather, I guess (using Babelfish) that you suggested Alias in trying to
help Isaac. Must admit, that was my first reaction but thought I'd try my
hand using altavista.

Goodness only knows if the Babelfish English-Spanish translation makes any
sense. I don't speak a word of Spanish <g>

Let's hope Alias sees it later and is able to sort Isaac out.

Hi Mart....I think the Google one made a tad more sense and I did ask
him if he tried a new mouse, which he had and no joy. I told him to
wait until morning across the pond and figured Alias could sort him out.
I never thought to ask him if he spoke English, but I rather doubt it.

Anyway.....the following is the Google translation, which is pretty
clear....

Yo tengo instalado Norton Antivirus 2002 (El teclado y mouse que tengo no
son inalámbricos, no sé si me explico bien con esto.......)

Intenta con un mouse que no es inalámbrico. Puede ser que las pilas del
mouse están bajas. También intenta poner una nueva pila para el mouse.

Eso dicho, Norton es uno de los peores anti virus en el mercado. Yo
recomiendo Avast que puede hacer un escaneo cuando inicias y antes que
se pone Windows, www.avast.com/. Y, eso dicho, la única manera segura de
eliminar Norton es formatear y reinstalar Windows :-(

Don't know if it's a virus or what but he has a very old Norton: 2002.
Not sure they are even still updating that. I recommended y reformat and
put the free tools I linked on his machine.

If you need to 'google it', it isn't going to come out right, trust me.
You've lost touch with your german ancestry and will be much better off,
sticking with your more recent one, the spanish speaking. Just don't let it
overtone the english lanuage.
I wasn't talking about 'any pipe', but specifically the so-called
'peace-pipe' and more-less in a hypothetical way, with reference to native
indian customs in years past.
