Hi All,
I have spent over $700 on Xheo Professional and have not been able to get the licensing server side of it to work, ever. Support has been unresponsive to my problem, telling me to "read the documentation", which is obtuse, to say the least. They dont seem to care whether my issue gets resolved or not.
Recently I installed Visual Studio 2012, which added a beta version of .NET 4.5. Guess what broke first? Thats right, Xheo! When I contacted Xheo, they told me basically that I would have to upgrade to the latest version in order to get a fix. What a piece of crap this is. The support sucks, and so does this product. What this really means is that I will have to shell out another $300 just to get back to the product that didnt work right in the first place. So nows its a $1,000 and still no working software. As the saying goes... A fool and his money are soon parted.
June 28 update from Xheo: "Microsoft continually releases service packs and updates. To stay current you must have the latest version of DeployLX". No effort whatsoever to identify the problem, suggest a workaround; just "pay us more money". Worthless piece of crap.
I will never reccomend Xheo to anyone again. Think long and hard about purchasing this software. You may find it is just as easy to write your own licensing and web services, rather than go down the road to ruin.
Cheers,
Miles
