Hi

My PC keeps locking the desktop as if I was pressing the Windows key and L.
We have a group policy active but the automatic locking of the dekstop is
disabled.

This can sometimes happen even whilst I am typing.

Also, I dont have the screen saver set to lock after so many minutes of
inactivity.

Thanks in advance

Scott

Any program may cause this behavior at any time by simply calling
%SystemRoot%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

Therefore, check the malware status ASAP.

Re: XP keeps locking the desktop

Please check whether the sticky keys are turned ON.
This can be done by going to the accessibility options in control panel.
To turn on and off sticky keys, press shift key 5 times.

Nope, why should I do that. Note that I'm not the OP!

Re: XP keeps locking the desktop

Hi

I have checked the sticky keys, malware and virus status. All are fine.

Kind regards

Scott

See if the problem occurs in Safe Mode also. If this is not the case,
