Ive a radio prog that gives 'digital filtering' , I can run it on one
pc thats a intel p111 1.1 Ghz , running xp-pro , fully up to date ,
works fine ,

Try it on the second pc , intel p4 3 ghz pc running xp-pro , up to
date , and the prog wont run , click on it and nothing looks to
happen , check the 'process box' and you can see the application
listed , but nothing showing ,

the older p3 has a agp video card and the p4 a pci extream , but
everything ealse looks to be working 'ok'

If i access the file from the 'good' pc across the network, the prog
runs on the other pc

... is there some folder setting that may be previnting the prog
running , but i dont know why the prog is showing in the process box
and 'not' on the screen ?

Tnx

What's the name of the program and how ancient is it? Some of the older
applications literally hit a brick wall when very high speed CPU's are
involved. This is due to compiling issues which time-outs on the faster
CPU's and the application hangs. Is there an update/upgrade for this
program? The otherwise solution is to run it across the network, which
probably offers some buffering for the code.

Ok ... Its a version of 'dream' , its a set of files compiled using
i think c++ , there is a link :-

http://www.aoruk.com/drm.htm

Towards the end of the page, there is a link to a compiled version,
but it looks to be a few years old,

its package you need to compile, but i dont have the kit/know how to
do that ...

may be there is a later version .....

Tnx - G ..
